Is the Mikado pheasant a flightless bird?

The Mikado pheasant (Syrmaticus mikado) is not a flightless bird. It is a species of pheasant native to conifer-forested mountainous areas of Taiwan. Like other pheasants, the Mikado pheasant is capable of flight, although it mainly uses its wings for short distances and to glide down from high perches.
