What is the size of a parrot?

Parrots vary greatly in size, from the tiny pygmy parrots, which are only a few inches long, to the large hyacinth macaws, which can grow up to 3 feet long. Most parrots fall somewhere in between these extremes, with an average length of around 12-18 inches.
