Can you build a house next to bald eagle nest?

It is illegal to build a house next to a bald eagle nest. The Bald Eagle Protection Act of 1940 prohibits the taking or possession of bald eagles and their nests. This act also makes it illegal to build a structure within 660 feet of an active bald eagle nest.
