What bat eat nectar?

Nectar-feeding, or long-tongued, bats are adapted for feeding on nectar, pollen and fruit. Examples include the long-nosed bat Leptonycteris nivalis and the flower bat Glossophaga soricina, which are both found in the tropics and subtropics of the Americas.
