How do young pelicans get their food?

Young pelicans are fed regurgitated food by their parents. When the parent returns to the nest, the young pelicans insert their beaks into the parent's mouth and the parent regurgitates the food into the young pelican's beak. The young pelicans will continue to be fed this way until they are old enough to find their food.
