When is a baby swan ready to be on its own?

Cygnets (baby swans) generally leave the nest about two to three months after hatching. They learn to swim, feed, and fly under their parents’ watchful eyes. Cygnets stay with their parents until they are about a year old, when they are ready to start their own lives.
