Can cockroaches mate with other breeds of cockroaches?

Cockroaches can mate with other species of cockroaches, but the offspring may not be viable. For example, the German cockroach (Blattella germanica) can mate with the Oriental cockroach (Blatta orientalis), but the offspring are sterile.
