How long does a robin sit on her baby birds?

A robin will sit on her baby birds, called nestlings, for an average of 13 days, or until the fledglings’ flight feathers are well developed. During this time, the mother bird will continuously bring food back to her babies and keep them warm. The father robin may also bring food to the nest, though the majority of the caregiving is done by the mother.
