Why did sylvia live with mrs tilley in whithe heron?

Sylvia did not live with Mrs. Tilley in "The White Heron." She lived with her grandmother in the countryside of Maine. Mrs. Tilley is a summer tenant at the farm where Sylvia and her grandmother live.
