Are hummingbirds the only birds that can fly backwards?

Hummingbirds have unique flight capabilities, including the ability to fly forwards, backwards, sideways, and even upside down. However, they are not the only birds that can fly backwards. Many other bird species, such as flycatchers, shrikes, and some species of owls, also possess this ability.
