When were birds made?

The earliest known birds date back to the Early Cretaceous period, around 150 million years ago. These early birds, such as Archaeopteryx, are considered transitional fossils, as they had both reptilian and avian features.

Over time, birds evolved and diversified into the many different species we see today.
