Can you shoot pigeons with a 177?

It is not advisable to shoot pigeons with a .177 caliber airgun. While a .177 airgun can be used for hunting small game, it is not powerful enough to humanely kill a pigeon. Pigeons are relatively large birds, and a .177 airgun pellet is not likely to penetrate the bird's skull. This could result in the bird being injured, but not killed, which is unethical and cruel.
