What color kitten will you get if breed a black and tan cat?

The color of the kitten's coat will depend on the genetic makeup of the parents. If the black cat carries the gene for the tan color, then it is possible for them to produce a tan kitten. However, if the black cat does not carry the gene for the tan color, then all of the kittens will be black. It is also possible for the kittens to be a mix of black and tan, known as tortoiseshell or calico.
