How after mating do the cricket lay eggs?

Female crickets lay their eggs in the ground. After mating, the female cricket will use her ovipositor, a long, thin tube located at the end of her abdomen, to dig a hole in the ground. She will then lay her eggs in the hole, and cover them up with soil. The eggs will hatch into nymphs, which will grow and eventually molt into adult crickets.
