Does the osprey stay in nest during gestation period?

The osprey's gestation period lasts about 5 weeks. During this time, the female osprey lays her eggs in the nest and begins to incubate them. The male osprey will also help defend the nest and bring food to the female, but neither of the ospreys will stay in the nest during the entire incubation period.
