Are grapes safe for dogs to eat?

Grapes and raisins are toxic to dogs, even in small amounts.

They can cause:

* Kidney failure

* Vomiting

* Diarrhea

* Lethargy

* Loss of appetite

Symptoms can appear within hours of ingestion and can be fatal.

If you suspect your dog has eaten grapes or raisins, contact your veterinarian immediately.

It's best to avoid giving your dog grapes and raisins altogether.
