Can bread cause diarrhea in dogs?

Bread itself shouldn't cause diarrhea in dogs though some dogs may have trouble digesting it in large quantities or if they don't usually eat it. There might also be other ingredients added to the bread (e.g. nuts, chocolate chips) that the dog is intolerant of that you're unaware of which may lead to gastrointestinal issues including diarrhea.
