- New Hatchling – fresh out of the egg is called a pip.

- After a week – hatchling.

- Around 2 weeks -Stripling

- From around 3 weeks to 6 months – chick.

- From 6 months to 2 years – teenager or sub adult.

- Mature adult – breeding bird.
