Spaying involves the surgical removal of a female dog's ovaries and uterus. This means she is no longer able to produce eggs or become pregnant.
Only a female dog that is intact (not spayed) can become pregnant.
Even if the other dog is male and not neutered, the spayed female cannot contribute the necessary eggs for a pregnancy to occur.
