Can dogs get rabies from the sun?

Dogs cannot get rabies from the sun. Rabies is a viral disease that is most often transmitted by the bite of an infected animal. Dogs can get rabies from other infected dogs, wildlife like raccoons and skunks, or domestic animals like cats. The sun's rays do not transmit rabies.
