Why are lynxes endangered species?

Lynxes are not endangered species. The most widespread species, Canada lynx, is listed as Least Concern by the IUCN, while other lynx species are classified as Near Threatened or Least Concern. The only critically endangered lynx species is the Iberian lynx, with a population of around 100 individuals.
