Seals are marine mammals that spend most of their lives in the water. They are well-adapted to life in the ocean, with streamlined bodies, flippers for swimming, and a thick layer of blubber for insulation. While seals do come onto land to rest, breed, and give birth, they spend the majority of their time in the water.
