What is the Reason for extinction of robber crab?

The robber crab, Birgus latro, is not extinct. It is a large terrestrial arthropod found on islands in the Indian and Pacific Oceans. The species is classified as Least Concern by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).
