Why are dolphins called Angels of the Sea?

There's no scientific or historical basis for referring to dolphins as "Angels of the Sea." Dolphins are intelligent marine mammals, but naming or assigning such titles is symbolic or a matter of personal belief rather than a universally recognized term in marine science or biology.
