What do all marine animals breath?

All marine animals do not breathe the same way. While many marine animals breathe oxygen dissolved in water through their gills, some have other respiratory adaptations. For example, whales and dolphins are mammals and breathe air through their lungs, coming to the surface to take breaths. Other marine animals, like sea turtles, have lungs but can also absorb oxygen through their skin.
