There were at least six species of hominins living between around 300,000 and 100,000 years ago including Homo sapiens , Neanderthals , Homo erectus, Homo antecessor,Homo heidelbergensis ,Homo floresiensis . By 100,00 years ago, only Neanderthals , H. sapiens and possibly Denisovans remained.
