Can a monkey have Down syndrome?

There is no scientific evidence to suggest that monkeys can have Down syndrome. Down syndrome is a genetic condition that occurs in humans when an individual has three copies of chromosome 21. While monkeys share many similarities with humans, they do not have the same genetic makeup. Therefore, it is not possible for monkeys to have Down syndrome.
