What is the prey of a osprey?

The diet of an osprey consists mainly of fish. They dive feet first from the sky to grab their target in their sharp talons. These birds may consume fish as large as they are but mostly prefer fish from 300g – 700g. Ospreys will also occasionally eat insects when fish are in short supply.
