Where does neck bones come from?

Neck bones come from the cervical vertebrae of animals, which are the bones that make up the neck. In humans, there are seven cervical vertebrae, while other animals may have more or less. Neck bones can be used for food, as in the case of oxtail soup, or they can be used for medical purposes, such as in bone grafts.
