How did the mega raptor protect itself?

The mega raptor, Utahraptor ostrommaysorum, did not exist. It was a fictional creature from the 1993 adventure movie Jurassic Park. Its name is based on the state of Utah, where it was supposedly discovered, and on the Latin word raptor, meaning robber or thief.
