What happened to the eco-system when Tasmanian Tigers went extinct?

There is no evidence that Tasmanian Tigers, scientifically known as Thylacinus cynocephalus, went extinct; they existed and became extinct long before the term ecosystem was coined or the concept of ecosystem dynamics was developed in ecology.
