How many different breeds of wolves are there in Texas?

There are no native wolf breeds in Texas. The only canids native to Texas are the coyote, the red wolf (though they are critically endangered and were likely extirpated from Texas centuries ago), and the gray fox.

While domesticated dogs may look like wolves, they are a separate species. There are numerous breeds of dogs found in Texas, but no breeds of wolves.
