When do bucks start growing horns?

Bucks start growing antlers, not horns. Antlers are made of bone and are shed and regrown every year, while horns are made of keratin and are permanent. Bucks typically start growing antlers around 15-18 months of age. The antlers will continue to grow until the buck reaches maturity, which is usually around 5-6 years old.
