Is a pregnant heifer or cow?

A pregnant heifer is a heifer.

Here's why:

* Heifer: A young female cow that has not yet had a calf.

* Cow: A mature female cow that has had at least one calf.

So, even if a heifer is pregnant, she is still classified as a heifer until she gives birth to her first calf. After that, she becomes a cow.
