Why do animals move even after death?

Animals do not move after death. After an animal dies, its muscles lose the ability to contract and relax, which is necessary for movement. Any apparent movement observed after death is usually due to external factors such as muscle contractions caused by rigor mortis or postmortem reflexes, or movements caused by environmental conditions like wind or water currents.
