Who wrote the legend Trojan horse?

The authorship of the legend of the Trojan horse is traditionally attributed to the ancient Greek poet Homer, who lived in the 8th or 7th century BCE. The legend is included in Homer's epic poem the Iliad, which tells the story of the Trojan War. In the Iliad, the Trojan horse is a ruse devised by the Greek hero Odysseus to infiltrate the city of Troy and bring an end to the war.
