Are Gennie pigs big when they are born?

Guinea pigs are actually quite small when they are born! They are called "pups" and are typically:

* Weighing between 2-4 ounces.

* Measuring around 3-4 inches long.

They are born with fur, open eyes, and can even walk and run shortly after birth. But they still need their mother's care for nourishment and warmth.
