    #  >> Farm Animals >> Relating to Farm Animals

What are animals that live off host organisms called?

Animals that live off host organisms are called parasites.

There are two main types of parasites:

* Ectoparasites: These live on the outside of their host, like fleas, ticks, and lice.

* Endoparasites: These live inside the host, like tapeworms, roundworms, and some bacteria.

It's important to note that parasitism is a type of symbiotic relationship, where one organism (the parasite) benefits at the expense of the other (the host).
