Why do cows see blue and yellow?

Cows don't see blue and yellow. They are dichromats, meaning they only have two types of cones in their eyes, compared to humans who have three. This means they can't see red or green, but they can see blue, yellow, and violet. Their color vision is similar to that of a human who is red-green colorblind.
