They are specifically found in:
* Europe: Most of Europe, except for Ireland, Iceland, and Scandinavia.
* Asia: Western, central, and southeastern Asia.
* Africa: Northern and sub-Saharan Africa.
There are also introduced populations of hedgehogs in New Zealand and parts of the United States.
