Is there a vaccine for syphilis?

Unfortunately, there is no vaccine currently available to prevent syphilis. This sexually transmitted infection is caused by the bacterium *Treponema pallidum*, and the bacteria's ability to evade the immune system makes vaccine development challenging. Researchers have explored various vaccine approaches, but an effective syphilis vaccine is yet to be successfully developed and approved for clinical use.
