Do horses live longer on a farm than in the wild?

In general horses live longer in captivity than in the wild. They do not have to worry about predators, weather extremes or finding enough food and water when they are being cared for by humans. Their average life expectancy can range from 25 to 35 years when looked after properly, whilst in the wild their lifespan is likely to be closer to 15-20 years.
