Does a doctor fish lay eggs?

A doctor fish or Garra Rufa is a small fish that is often used for pedicures and is commonly called a nibble fish. It does not lay eggs, instead, it reproduces by giving live birth. The female doctor fish will release live fry into the water, and the fry will grow and mature into adults.
