Are whales picky about what they eat?

Whales are not particularly picky about what they eat. They will eat whatever is available and easy to catch. Some whales, like the blue whale, are filter feeders and eat plankton, while others, like the sperm whale, are predators and eat fish, squid, and other marine mammals.
