Do scientists think that puffer fish are endangered?

The IUCN (International Union for Conservation of Nature) Red List does not currently classify any pufferfish species as endangered. Some pufferfish species have been assessed as vulnerable or near threatened based on regional population declines or certain conservation concerns, but overall they are not considered endangered as a broader group.
