What does the bowhead whale habitat look like?

Bowhead whales prefer cold, arctic and subarctic waters and spend most of their lives in water less than 1000 meters deep. These whales are most often found in waters covered with pack ice, especially the southern margin. During summer, they migrate to the cooler waters of the Canadian Arctic and Greenland. They live from the surface to depths of 100 meters.
