What are the habitat of philopsids?

Philopsids are deep-water amphipods, generally found along the continental shelves and seamounts of the North Atlantic, North Pacific, and Southern Ocean. They usually reside at depths ranging from about 1,500 to 3,000 meters. Philopsids are rarely encountered in shallow waters.
