What is the lifespan of sandbar shark?

Sandbar sharks (Carcharhinus plumbeus) have an average lifespan of around 25-35 years in the wild. Male sharks tend to live shorter lives, as they mature at a faster rate than females and reach their full size earlier. Female sandbar sharks can live up to 40 years or longer.
