What kind of fish can you put in your half gallon tank?

A half gallon tank is too small for any fish. Fish need plenty of space to swim around and explore. A rule of thumb is to provide at least one gallon of water per inch of fish. Therefore, a half gallon tank is only suitable for very small invertebrates like a single snail or shrimp.
