Do Bala sharks need a heated tank?

Bala sharks (Balantiocheilos melanopterus) are tropical fish that originated from Southeast Asian waters. As such, they prefer warm water temperatures and are not suited to cold water aquariums. The ideal water temperature for bala sharks is between 75-86°F (24-30°C). Therefore, a heated tank is necessary to keep bala sharks healthy and comfortable.
